Sci-Fi Environment

Posted by Avner Engel in Uncategorized

A few weeks ago we were given an assignment to model, texture, light and render an environment. The brief was quite general and vague, so we could come up with any concept that we found challenging to create, within the time frame we were given. I chose to work on an old computer mother board and turn it into some sort of a futuristic sci-fi environment. Towards the end I added some elements that might be useful for my dear brother and his mates at “Nutek” (a Spanish label for electronic music – www.nutek.org).

We had 10 days to come up with a finished outcome and here is the result.

Nice environment, what is the polycount and the texture sizes used? Feels like it could be a scene of a frankenstein laboratory. The clip could be slower I thought, giving the viewer more time to focus on certain objects. Nice lighting
