After a very busy week, I finally managed to sit down and make those final adjustments I wanted for the dialogue test. There are still few timing issues I would have changed if I had all the time in the world but I guess it is time to move on and work on a new shot.
In the next few weeks I am aiming to go back and practice some animation fundamentals which I feel could be pushed a bit more and improve my work flow.
Before I stop my rambling I want to say thanks to everyone for finding the time to look at my work and give me some good criticism (especially Ross-thanks mate, you are a legend!).
Anyhow, here is the final version of what I have got. As always, I am happy to hear what you have to say



hey i think its going well, just one thing, becareful of leaving Feet IK handls on the ground and having them drag up when moving body center, yes this will work but it give controle of the feet over to the software and not you. this can lead to knee snaping (as the bones need to straighten inorder to lift, unless you set bone angle tension) and a floaty type of feel (No i dont think that your piece has this, i just feel that its just hinting at these) if you want feet to roll YOU state when where and how, not the software. eg the last heel lift could work well witha roll onto the ball of the SR foot, bending the foot instead of it being straight and just heel lifting. This is a small thing and maybe not too relevent in this situation but so long as it dosnt become a habit (draging IKs) because there will be times when it will matter alot.
great work, keep it up, and yes most of animation is self taught, you can read all the books in the world, be told all the right things in courses, but it will never replace doing it yourself and seeing what you think works and dosnt work, and did i mention animating it over and over and over and over again….?
