Blocking take number 02

Posted by Avner Engel in Animation

For the second task of the master class we have to animate another take of a character who answers the door. Here is the blocking for it.

If you could look at it and tell me what you understand that would be a great help.

guy is eating a sandwhich, not particularly enjoying it, not hating it, just slightly mundanely eating (boerd?) hears a knock at the door, angry at being disturbed. walks to door (has a weak, hunched, posture, slightly worried and not happy) checks the spy hole in door, sees someone important enough to do a double take and rush to check hair in the mirror, hes feeling nervous (feet) but happy/excited (spine arch) , happy when opens the door, then becomes sleazy (like hes trying to pick up a girl, the eyebrows are the sliziest, the pose is trying to be “cool” and relaxed by leaning on the door (also blocks persons entry) eyes look down and up (is he really gross and checking out a girl?) and the smile is also a bit sleezy. hehehe i hope i got it right :)

btw it looks great! there is heaps of description and good weight , you have improved out of sight….. now get back to animating :)
