Ok, so after the inspiring class I had last weekend I decided to tackle this March piece I submitted for the 11 Second Club one more time.
This time I went for the “less is more” approach. I tried to act within the poses or in other words just simplify them. The amount of gestures my character did was ridiculous so I toned it down as well as adding subtle attention to the eyes and the hands.
Overall, it just felt like my piece was going in the right direction but it was overacted too much. Thats why I decided to spend a few more days and give it the treatment it deserves.
I also showed it to Andrew last weekend and he gave me some great things to think about and take into consideration. I hope I manage to incorporate most of them.

hi there,
iam not at all perfect animator but i will try to figure out.in ur animation everything looks good if i watch the animation without sound.
so character actions are not matching beats of voice.
BUT is perfect as it is….in this word….as it is action is missing.means u should push the pose more when the word as it is comes.
all the best and keep animating.
bye
Nice man,
You’ve put a lot of work into this… it’s looking good. I know this is the final, but thought I’d give a couple of quick thoughts… I might make two changes… probably wouldn’t rub his chest with his right hand… is better to just leave by his side. (that way you show him thinking more…less distracting)… I like the left hand guesture… just feels late… needs to happen on ‘Music’ or there abouts… that’s all I’d change.
Good work all around, man consider this one done!
Nice job!
