Hey guys,
A while ago, when I started experimenting in Flipbook, I found it hard to maintain the size and the volume of my Drawings. One of my colleagues at the 11 second club, Amrit has suggested to look at the notes of Walt Stanchfield about maintaining the volume of your drawings. I managed to get a copy from Animation Meat.
The notes are a great source of information for all sorts of things, but mainly what it gives you (or at least for me) is a better understanding of the importance of looking at whats around us and being able to break it down into simple lines and shapes.
Below is my first attempt at a new approach I am trying, I took these sketches on my way to work, while sitting on the tram, or waiting for it to come. The purpose of this is to explore the principle of pose and essentially “milk” it and push it more and more.
I would love to hear what you guys have to say about it.
Cheers
