Pose test part two

As I mentioned in the last pose post, I started reading this awesome animation resource I found on Animation Meat. Basically reading these notes gives you a lot of insights about how the guys at Disney approached the art of drawing, as well as the different elements the drawings should convey. I strongly recommend it to everyone.

In one of the chapters they discuss the need to observe and look around us as a tool to improve our work. This simple piece of advice has struck a cord in me and ever since I read this passage, I am trying to keep my eyes open. Often I find myself at work ( I work as a barista at a chocolate shop) or on the tram on the way home searching around for interesting people, poses, expressions, accents, phrases, or anything that can capture the essence of an interesting scenario.

Below are a few more doodles, I spent a couple of minutes drawing each one of them. The purpose of this exercise is to train my eye and improve the flow of my lines. I wish it will have more consistency, something that might come with practice.
