Hey D,

Yeah I know this movie, I watched it a few years back. It's actually one of the top animations I have on my Youtube playlist.

As for the mechanic arm, yeah I agree it's not rigid enough, when I started to doodle around with it, I was more into figuring out the way it moves over giving it the right volume. I guess not having this elemnt detracts from the feel of the animation. For the time being I don't think I am going to persue working on this shot, as I prefer focusing on more character stuff.

About the flour sack, don't you think that having the sack cycling in the air is a little bit too cliche? Oh well, I will have a go at it and see what it looks like.

Thanks for tuning in mate, I really apprecaite your input.

Hey Avner.. you are always having fun eh!? hehehehe your new tests look pretty cool.. the mechanic arm made me remember a short film i saw a long time ago called "Defective" you can check it out here if you haven't http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=nY-A5W8uxIs and the first thing i could see in the mechanic arm.. is that it doesn't have the mechanic part into it.. it needs to be more riggid and probably only the hand could overlap or dragg in different directions.. now it looks like a rope more than an arm.... but the ball animation has some nice weight and snappy timing :)

for the triangle test.. i would put a little more anticipation in the jump..throw a couple of frames there making it go screen right before it swings screen left.. and make a nice arc to the swing.. and i would say to watch the settle of the rope also.. but overall good work! :D

the jump with Jason's reference always it's a fun test!..

and i like the flour sack exercise.. it's just matter of taste.. but at the end i would make him kinda bike/swim in the air before it zipps down to the screen.. that wouyld be a bit funnier ! :D

all the best! and keep animating!
