I really like all the preparatory character acting to the hammer lift. It’s an appealing animation sequence well done. Better than I could produce that is for sure , so my ongoing critique holds no water.
I still reckon he’s not working hard enough against the momentum of the heavy hammer head, though. He remains central and upright, where I think he’d be bending away a bit more to counteract the swing. I still think of a hammer throw at the Olympics, but that’s a big guy and small weight, probably a pair of dancers is a better example where the girl is in a lift leaning out from the boy spinning in the centre of the circle. The reversal of direction in the hammer at fr. 287 still would need a lot more effort to convince me of the hammer’s weight. It would take a lot of effort and leaning in the opposite direction to reverse that momentum and I would expect a big wide arc as the character finally overcomes the obstacle.
That’s what I got for you. I hope you pointed us at this one because you wanted a bit more crit?
Hey Avner,
I think it’s pretty funny. Keep up the good work!
