Jump in perspective – Flipbook
I had some spare time on the weekend so I started working on another JRA tutorial. This time around I am tackling the jump in perspective. So far I have learned a whole heap about the importance of opposite actions. This tutorial really explains and demonstrate that concept very well. I highly recommend to everyone if they get around it.
This is the flipbook I did, I am intending to combine it with another test I have worked on a few months ago (with the character and the rope/ vine swing), I have a feeling they might work well together in a sequence.

Hi, my name is Avner, and I am addicted to animation!
Welcome to my work in progress animation workbook. Feel free to share ideas, thoughts, feedback or anything else that can help me evolve and further my learning.

Hey Avner,
I’m really digging this one! My only comments would be that I’d love for him not to leave frame (maybe tilt camera up then down again?) and I’d love to see a little more stretch of his body on the take-off. I love your counter-posturing. Are you taking JRA’s course or are they available for free somewhere? If they are, would you mind passing a link along? Keep up the great work… oh, I would consider doing a finished pass on your last piece. Just drop some abstract fair environment in the background and nice(er) shaders and render your little robot guy. Kewl, that’s it for me! Later!
Hey there toyBunny.
Cheers for the crit man.
As for your question, yes, I purchased Jason’s tutorials and I must say they are the best value for money you can get. If you can afford it I wouldn’t think twice and just get them. I strongly recommend them.
I don’t think the tutorials are available for free on the net and if so it will do great injustice for all the hard work and great effort Jason put into those video lessons.
Thanks for stopping by.
