An update

Last week while I was uploading my 11 second club submission for December, I noticed the low frequency of posts over the past few months. Well first I would like to apologize for that but with all honesty things were pretty busy on my end.

Now for a bit of news…….(DRUMS), last week I started my first term at Animation Mentor. This has been in the making for the past 2 years now. Going through the Jason Ryan tutorials and the self taught learning curve has increased my appetite to learn more and improve my understanding of this art form. Needless to say I am looking forward to it and can’t wait to delve into it.

My mentor is Shaun Freeman, a fellow Aussie who is a freelance animator working remotely for Duncan Studios in LA. Shawn used to be a school teacher who decided one day to do a career change .

Previously, Shawn was working on projects such as Open Season 2, Happy Feet, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Transformers the game and Animalia to name a few. I am really looking forward to be learning from him as its going to be a brilliant experience and a much anticipated learning curve.

Anyhow, below are a couple of sketches I did over the past few days while catching up with a few friends in the park.
