I decided to continue my expermintation with the subject of lighting. Here I started off with two tones, the yellow and the red and I slowly built in the light and dark areas. One of the great things I have learnt over the weekend was the use of colour as negative space to push a pose.
Hopefully I will come back to finish this sometime during the week.

Yesterday I had an incredible life drawing class where the teacher asked us to work with colours! We had to choose a light mid and dark tones to work with and then start blocking out the figure then change to the eezel next to us every 15 minutes. It’s amazing how much this exercise improves your observation skills and make you look at whats working and what needs to be fixed.
Needless to say I was very inspired after class so I tried to study the lighting a little bit more.
