In this pass I tried to tie down the beats of the laugh in the third shot and make them feel a little bit more crisp. I also add some subtle animation on the girl in the first shot, to keep her alive at the beginning. The last shot still needs a lot of loving.

Lovely Accent – Shot Surgery
I wasn’t happy with the attitude on the girl so I went in a did a shot surgery on her performance. I removed the keys I had on her and started fresh with a less is more kind of approach.
The main idea I want to sell here is that she is cold and doesn’t have time for over-friendly waiters who try to chat her up. This way, the contrast between the two performances is clearer.
What do you think? Does it work? Can it be improved?

Lovely Accent – First polishing pass
While there are still a lot of things I still want to iron out in the performance of the characters, I got started on polishing those splines in order to get a feel of what will it play like with a few more breakdowns and smoother transitions.
The camera in the first shot was adjusted to centre both characters a bit more now.
